Resistance: Water has more resistance than air. This requires more muscle effort on the part of the dog, allowing for more rapid muscle improvement.
Buoyancy: Buoyancy allows exercise without joint impact. "Unloading" the dog's joints reduces stress and minimizes pain. It reduces the possibility of injury or of re-injury. It allows older dogs to exercise without pain, increasing their stamina and movement.

Pressure: The hydrostatic pressure of water helps to reduce any swelling in the lower parts of the body and in the joints. It also allows dogs with compromised neurological status to "balance" in the water easier than on land.
Heat: The warmth of the water in our dog pool relaxes the muscles and increases circulation. This aids in the removal of waste products from the muscles of the dog, helps to repair injuries, allows for improved joint flexibility, and reduces joint pain for your dog.
